In my last letter, I said this was going to be another exciting year in the transportation industry and I was right.  Our Spring seminar went a long way to help our shipper and carrier attendees cope with the new hours or service rules.  Just as we were feeling comfortable, the court decided they must be changed again.  I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Our April conference at Del Lago was a huge success.  Our attendees received tons of helpful information and our speakers were quoted in several national publications.  Our dinner cruise was even more fun this time.  Ask an attendee about Jello shots and hummingbird feeders.  With the help of our generous sponsors the ETA Foundation was able to award $4,500.00 in scholarships to worthy logistics students.

We will remain in the Houston area again this fall.  Our October 19, 2004 Golf outing and dinner will be at the popular Augusta Pines Golf Club and our October 20, 2004 seminar will be at the Baker Hughes Inteq Educational Center near Bush Airport.  We will have a very special seminar program.  William Augello will present a full day seminar on “Transportation, Logistics and the Law”.  Each registrant will receive a copy of his new book.  If you have attended one of his earlier seminars, you need to come again because there is twice the material to be covered from second edition of his book.  If you have not attended one of his seminars, just ask someone who has and they will tell you the information provided has saved their company many times the cost of the seminar.

We are offering this seminar at $50 to $100 below the normal price because we know that  our generous sponsors can be counted on to make this a success.  To comply with Mr. Augello’s requirements, we must receive your registration with payment no later than October 13, 2004.  So get your reservation in early and I will see you there.
